The St. Joseph Cardiothoracic Surgeons group maintains an uncompromising commitment to placing patients’ needs and concerns first. Our team of surgeons performs more than 1000 adult cardiac and thoracic operations each year, including minimally invasive and open-heart procedures.

Leads the region in performing minimally invasive approaches to chest diseases, including video-assisted thoracic (VATS) lobectomy.

Was instrumental in the establishment of the Society of Thoracic Surgeons’ national database for analysis of outcomes and continues to push forward the science of improving and standardizing surgical technique.
