St. Joseph Medical Center Receives Consumer Choice Award For 13th Year
St. Joseph Medical Center is a co-winner of the 2012-2013 Consumer Choice Award based on a survey of Tacoma-area residents by the National Research Corp.
The prestigious annual award goes only to hospitals that independent consumer research indicates have the best overall quality, image and reputation, and the best doctors and nurses, in their markets. This is the 13th time that St. Joseph Medical Center, a part of the Franciscan Health System, has earned the Consumer Choice Award since the recognition program began in 1996.
The National Research Corp., sponsor of the award, and Modern Healthcare magazine, a national trade publication, announced the award winners in all U.S. markets today.
To determine award winners in more than 300 markets across the nation, Lincoln, Neb.-based National Research Corp. asked consumers in 250,000 households to identify the hospitals they perceive as having the best doctors, best nurses, the best image and reputation, and those which provide quality care.
