Franciscan Names Physician of the Year
Bahman Saffari, M.D., Ph. D. 2012 Healer with a Heart
Franciscan Health System has named Bahman Saffari, M.D., Ph.D. as its first ever “Healer with a Heart” Physician of the Year. Dr. Saffari is a Gynecology Oncologist at Franciscan Gynecologic Oncology Associates in Tacoma. Dr. Saffari was chosen based on his exemplary commitment to patient care while running a busy clinical practice and having heavy on-call obligations.
“Dr. Saffari exemplifies our Franciscan mission and values,” said Dr. Steve Spare, President and Chief Medical Officer of Franciscan Medical Group. “His dedication to patient care and camaraderie among staff is what makes our organization a great place to work every day. He is not only a great doctor but a wonderful human being.”
Bahman Saffari received his medical degree from the University of Southern California and served his residency at the University of Southern California in Obstetrics and Gynecology. He also served a fellowship in Gynecologic Oncology at the University of California – Irvine. Dr. Saffari was been with Franciscan Health System since 2009.
