Franciscan Is A Top Health Organization In U.S. For Eighth Year
Franciscan Health System ranks among the 100 best-performing and most integrated health organizations in the U.S. for the eighth consecutive year, according to SDI, an independent research, information and data analytics company that compiles the prestigious annual list.
For 2011, Franciscan is No. 15 on the Top 100 list of integrated health care networks. See the full SDI report at http://www.sdihealth.com/IHN/main.aspx.
This is the fifth consecutive year that Franciscan has been among the top 20 health networks in the nation.
"We are honored to again be recognized as one of the top health systems in the nation,” said Joe Wilczek, chief executive officer of the five-hospital Franciscan Health System. "This is an acknowledgement of the commitment to excellence that distinguishes our physicians, nurses and the other employees throughout our great organization."
SDI rates local and regional, non-specialty networks on their operational efficiency, performance level and degree of integrated services. The Top 100 organizations are leading performers among more than 500 non-specialty local and regional networks that meet critical success factors. Each organization is evaluated for its ability to operate as a unified system in integrated technology, hospital utilization, outpatient utilization, financial stability, contract capabilities, physician affiliation and offerings, quality and breadth of services, and access to those services.
For the 2011 list, Franciscan Health System accumulated an overall score of 86.96 points out of a possible 100. Franciscan debuted at No. 74 in the elite national ranking in 2004.
