Ki H. Oh, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Dr. Oh is recognized by the Surgical Review Corporation as an ASBS Center of Excellence surgeon. A Diplomate of the American Board of Surgery, Dr. Oh has performed over 3,000 weight loss surgeries since 1985. He provides all types of laparoscopic and traditional, open bariatric surgeries based on what is the best option for the patient, including gastric bypass, LAP-BAND® and duodenal switch. Dr. Oh received his medical degree from Chungang University in Seoul, Korea and completed his residency in general surgery at Wyckoff Heights Hospital through Downstate Medical School in Brooklyn, New York. He completed a Fellowship in Vascular Surgery at United Medical Center in New Jersey. A Fellow in the American College of Surgeons, he is also a member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal Surgeons, American Society for Bariatric Surgery, Pierce County Medical Society and Washington State Medical Association. Dr. Oh is fluent in English and Korean.

Thomas Hirai, M.D.

Dr. Hirai is certified by the American Board of Surgery. He completed his Fellowship in Laparoscopic and Bariatric Surgery at Inova Fairfax Hospital in Fairfax, Virginia, with experience in a wide range of minimally invasive and open weight loss surgeries, including duodenal switch and sleeve gastrectomy, as well as gastric bypass and LAP-BAND. Dr. Hirai received his medical degree from Sao Paulo University School of Medicine in Brazil. He completed residencies in general surgery at both Sao Paulo University School of Medicine and New York Medical College, Our Lady of Mercy Program, where he also served as an Instructor in Surgery. Dr. Hirai is a Member of the American Society for Bariatric Surgery, Washington State Medical Society (applied 11/06), Pierce County Medical Association (applied 11/06), and the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons (applied 12/06). Dr. Hirai is fluent in English, Portuguese, Spanish and (spoken) Japanese.
