The Franciscan Foundation was established in 1986 to receive and administer charitable gifts made on behalf of Franciscan Health System (FHS). We are recognized under Section 501c3 and 509a2 of the Internal Revenue Code as a nonprofit corporation and nonprivate foundation. All gifts to the Franciscan Foundation are tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law.
100% of your contribution to the Franciscan Foundation goes directly to the Franciscan Health System facility or program to which it is designated.

Since our inception in 1986, the Franciscan Foundation has:
- disbursed $44.7 million in gifts and earnings to FHS facilities and programs
- generated 337,274 contributions totaling $64 million in new support and $54.6 million in cash
- received $5.6 million in planned gifts and expects another $11 million to be realized sometime in the future
