MUGA Scan

A MUGA scan, also known as tagging the red blood cells, shows how efficiently the heart pumps blood to the rest of the body and how the heart muscle contracts. Fatigue, shortness of breath, assessment of damage from a heart attack, or assessment of a medication's effects on the efficiency of the heart are all possible reasons for having a MUGA scan.
