It is used in combination with conventional 2D mammography while providing a 3D image of the breast. Stereotactic breast biopsy is also performed at the center.
Recognized for excellence
The Franciscan Breast Center is accredited as a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology – for mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy, breast ultrasound and ultrasound guided breast biopsy.
The St. Francis Breast Clinic (Franciscan Surgical Associates) is a Nationally Accredited Program for Breast Care (NAPBC) Center of Excellence, one of the first in the South Puget Sound.
