Women's Health and Breast Center at St. Francis Hospital
The Women's Health & Breast Center is a National Quality Measures for Breast Centers (NQMBC) Certified Quality Breast Center of Excellence, reflecting the highest standards of patient care. Located on the St. Francis Hospital campus in Federal Way, Washington, the center provides all digital screening and diagnostic services, ultrasound, stereotactic breast biopsy, a full range of women’s health services including massage, acupuncture, medical-grade skin care, as well as community education and outreach programs. Walk-in screening mammograms and bone density exams are available in the afternoons and on Saturday.

Patient care is our priority
Our center is best known for breast imaging services, but we offer much more. Treating women with a holistic approach, we offer consultation and treatment for pelvic pain and incontinence, headache and neck pain therapies, health education, and a full range of services:

Breast care
The Women’s Health & Breast Center collaborates with St. Francis Breast Clinic at St. Francis and other clinics, to provide a multi-disciplinary, holistic approach to breast cancer care for our patients. The St. Francis Breast Clinic is a Nationally Accredited Program for Breast Care (NAPBC) Center of Excellence, one of the first in the South Puget Sound.
Treatment for pelvic health
Our physical therapist is certified through the Biofeedback Certification Institute of America and specializes in pelvic muscle dysfunction biofeedback. We strongly believe in patient education and partnering with other disciplines to treat all contributions to a patient’s condition. Typical diagnoses treated with physical therapy include:
- constipation
- fecal incontinence
- general low back pain
- low back pain due to pregnancy
- painful intercourse
- pelvic pain
- sacroiliac dysfunction
- urinary frequency/urgency
- urinary stress and/or urge incontinence
- vaginismus

Professional skin care
Our certified skin care professionals cater to women who are undergoing oncology treatments. Our esthetician works in collaboration with you to provide medical grade skin care services designed to make you feel more comfortable so you can focus on healing.
Massage
We offer massage therapy in conjunction with other treatments to promote relaxation and healing in our patients. Massage therapy is used to offset the side effects of cancer and cancer therapy, postoperative pain and immune system problems. Our staff believes that massage is a vital component to a holistic approach to your care.
Chiropractic care
Chiropractic is based on the idea that the human body has the ability to heal itself, and that the body always seeks to maintain a balance among its systems and organs. We believe that chiropractic treatments are another method of our holistic approach to your cancer care.
Acupuncture
Our acupuncturist is a certified practitioner who will work in concert with our Women’s and Breast Health Center team to provide you with the best care available. An acupuncturist applies heat, pressure or needles to relieve symptoms caused by cancer treatment.
