Franciscan Health System provides concentrated care for diabetes patients in an environment that enhances the learning process. We offer a range of services for people who have juvenile, adult-onset, and gestational diabetes. Our team of health care professionals is dedicated to helping people get the most from the diabetes treatment options they select and become experts in their own care.
Our diabetes education program is available for all people with Type 1, Type 2 or gestational diabetes, and those on insulin pumps. Participants are made up of outpatient participants (not hospitalized) who are referred by their primary physician for education, and inpatients (currently hospitalized) who are ill and need to learn to better manage their diabetes in order to prevent future hospitalization. Family members are encouraged to participate in all aspects of their loved one's education.
