The 22nd annual St. Francis Hospital Golf Tournament, held Sept. 10, attracted a full field of 144 golfers and generated $32,441 to benefit Federal Way’s only hospital. Proceeds from the event will help purchase lifesaving cardiac monitoring equipment for use in the busy emergency department.
“We thank everyone who helped to make this year’s fundraiser such a success,” says Tony McLean, president of St. Francis Hospital.
The annual golf tournament was hosted by the Twin Lakes Golf & Country Club. Cascade Regional Blood Services was a major sponsor.
The St. Francis Emergency Department receives nearly 50,000 patient visits annually, making it one of the busiest in the state. St. Francis, which opened in 1987, also offers a wide range of inpatient and outpatient medical and health services.
