Perinatologist Arthur Maslow, DO, joins Pacific Northwest Maternal-Fetal Medicine

Franciscan Medical Group announces the addition of perinatologist Arthur Maslow, DO, to the staff of Pacific Northwest Maternal-Fetal Medicine in Tacoma.

A Fellowship-trained perinatologist, Dr. Maslow provides comprehensive care for the mother and fetus in high-risk pregnancies. Board-certified in osteopathy, obstetrics and gynecology, he has a special medical interest in fetal diagnostic ultrasound techniques, including Doppler and fetal-heart evaluation.

Prior to joining Pacific Northwest Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Dr. Maslow served as director of the Department of Maternal-Fetal Medicine and co-directed the Center for Prenatal Pediatrics at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pa.

He earned his medical degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia, and completed a residency at Madigan Army Medical Center at Fort Lewis, Wash. During his three years in a Fellowship program in maternal-fetal medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, he also completed a Master’s degree in microbiology and immunology.

An expert in his field, Dr. Maslow served on the faculty of both the University of Texas and the University of Washington, and has authored several articles about infectious disease as it relates to expectant mothers.

He brings to Franciscan Medical Group a vast range of experience and a deep empathy for all his patients. He provides education and guidance at every stage of pregnancy, to help ensure success and minimize stress or concern.
