Franciscan Medical Group welcomes Joshua Johnston, MD, to Federal Way Orthopedic Associates. A Fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Johnston has a special expertise in arthroscopic surgery and the treatment of sports-related injuries.
As a Fellow at the Santa Monica Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Group (recently designated a FIFA Centre of Medical Excellence), he provided care for members of the L.A. Galaxy and Chivas USA Major League Soccer teams, the U.S. Men’s and Women’s National teams and the Pepperdine University and Santa Monica Community College athletic departments. He strives to provide advanced, efficient and compassionate care for patients with orthopedic injuries.
A native of the Pacific Northwest, Dr. Johnston earned a degree in medicine from the University of Washington in Seattle, and completed his residency at Michigan State University in Kalamazoo. He has extensive experience in treating active individuals of all ages. Also, he is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons and the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine.
