Breastfeeding Consultants
As a new parent, you want the very best for your baby. For most mothers, the choice to breastfeed or bottle feed is very personal and can be influenced by a number of factors. No matter your choice, the nurses at Franciscan are there to ensure your baby is getting the right nutrition.
For mothers who have chosen to breastfeed, they may not realize that it is a learned skill and doesn’t always come naturally.
If you would like guidance on breastfeeding or bottle feeding while at the hospital or after you take your baby home, our consultants are happy to help. Our staff members include registered nurses and educators who are certified as International Board-Certified Lactation Consultants. We offer education and support to all mothers, regardless of where they delivered their babies. You may come to us on your own, or your health care provider may refer you to us.
