Carol Milgard Breast Center
The Carol Milgard Breast Center in Tacoma, Washington, a partnership between Franciscan Health System and a local organization, serves the greater Tacoma area including Lakewood, University Place, Puyallup, all surrounding communities providing a full suite of digital screening and diagnostic breast care services as well as bone density exams and outreach programs for community education and support.
The Carol Milgard Breast Center is named to honor the spirit of a woman who was a long-time Tacoma resident, philanthropist, and 30-year survivor of breast cancer.

Compassionate, respectful atmosphere that welcomes all women regardless of socioeconomic status, the center, with its singular focus on breast screening and diagnosis, utilizes board-certified radiology physicians.

Cancer Care
For women and men undergoing breast cancer treatment or treatment for other breast-related issues, Franciscan’s full team of providers works with each patient on an individualized and complete care plan. Key services include screening and diagnostics as well as surgery, oncology radiation and chemotherapy. Franciscan nurse navigators are available to assist cancer patients through their care and ongoing referrals and resources are provided for physical therapy, counseling, education and support groups.
