Community Support Services
Franciscan offers support services to underserved or uninsured women and children in our community. WIC (Women, Infants and Children) clinics that include Maternity Support Services (MSS) are available for pregnant women who need prenatal support, preventive-healthcare, nutrition, health education, and community resource referrals. For more information about our programs, please call or visit one of our clinics.
Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Program
WIC is a free food and preventive-health program for pregnant and breastfeeding women, infants and children. Pregnant women, and children under five years of age, may be eligible for WIC services. Income guidelines benefit working families on tight budgets, unemployed families and families on public assistance or medical coupons.
Maternity Support Services (MSS)
In collaboration with Step by Step, a community agency, Franciscan offers community resources, referrals, education, financial assistance, housing, family planning, counseling, nutritional education and more to women in need, both during pregnancy and the weeks following childbirth.
