Carie Boone, MS, RD, CD
Carie received her undergraduate degree and master’s degree in Nutrition at Bastyr University. She is a current member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and a board member of the South Sound Dietetic Association. Carie enjoys regular exercise, being outdoors rain or shine, time with family and friends, and cooking with delicious, healthy food! Her passion is to provide compassionate, evidence-based nutrition education to help people live healthier.
Cailie Buckingham, RD, CD
Cailie completed her undergraduate degree at Montana State University and her dietetic internship at the Mayo Clinic. She is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and has completed her Certification in Adult Weight Management. She has worked in a variety of clinical areas including cardiology, dialysis and weight management. Cailie’s passion is to help others make good nutrition a lifelong tradition by providing accurate, practical and fun tips for healthy and happy eating. When she is not enjoying nutritious and delicious food, she is running and hiking in the beautiful Pacific North West.
Kari Hettel, RD, CD
Kari is a registered dietitian at St. Joseph Outpatient Nutrition Education Center and has been a part of the Franciscan team since 2001. She is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and has served on the South Sound Dietetic Association board for several years. She received her bachelor degree in Food Science Human Nutrition at Washington State University. Kari is passionate about educating others to make healthy choices in a fast-paced world and has completed courses in adult weight management to assist clients with reaching their goals.
Holly Martindale, RD, CD
Holly oversees and teaches the Heart Healthy Nutrition series at St. Joseph Medical Center. She received her bachelor degree in Food Science Human Nutrition at Washington State University. She is a current member of the American Dietetic Association and past president of the South Sound Dietetic Association. Holly is personally motivated by the false nutrition information out in the public today and is passionate about providing accurate nutrition education to help people make informed choices and reap the benefits of truly eating healthy!
Nicole Porter, RD, CD
Nicole is a Registered Dietitian for Franciscan Health System Outpatient Nutrition Education Center. She received her bachelor degree in Food Science and Human Nutrition at Washington State University and is a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. She has been a Dietitian for 15 years and part of the Franciscan team since 2012. She enjoys spending time with her family and staying active, completing the Seattle Rock N Roll half marathon in 2010. She is passionate about cooking and learning to prepare new healthy recipes for her family. She is dedicated to helping people through nutrition education to make healthier choices to achieve a healthier lifestyle.
