Cancer Screening and Forums
Screenings and forums are offered throughout the year on subjects such as skin cancer, breast cancer, prostate cancer, colorectal cancer, body/mind and spirit forum, and healthy choices.

Nutrition and Cancer Class
Taught by Nancy Steedman, CD, RD, a registered dietitian specializing in cancer care, this one-hour class includes information on the role of nutrition in fighting cancer, coping with side effects of treatment, recipe ideas, use of supplements, reputable resources and setting realistic goals.
Fee: free to patient and caregiver/support person
Location: St. Joseph Medical Center, Tacoma, in the first floor Cancer Center Administration Office
Schedule: third Tuesday of every month from 3 – 4 p.m.

General Cancer Support Group
For cancer patients and their families

Breast Cancer Support Group
Open to anyone who has been diagnosed with breast cancer.
Cost: free
Location: Women’s Health and Breast Center, St. Francis Hospital

Knit for Life Support Groups
A free knitting support group for all cancer patients, family members and caregivers. More information.

Meets the first and third Wednesday of every month from 1 -3 p.m.
