St. Elizabeth Hospital is Always Ready in an Emergency

A visit to the 24-hour emergency department at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Enumclaw is no longer about enduring long waits, thanks to our award-winning method for assessing and triaging patients.

Developed in partnership with Northwest Emergency Physicians of Team Health, our innovative, rapid process for assessing and triaging significantly reduces the length of time patients wait to see an emergency physician. Our quick-care process is so successful, it was awarded the Washington State Medical Association's 2010 William O. Robertson Patient Safety Award for Achievement.

St. Elizabeth Hospital opened in February 2011 and is the first new hospital in Washington to earn LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.

The state-of-the-art facility includes a rooftop helipad for emergency transportation of patients. During the new hospital's first six months of serving the community, the staff responded to 6,753 patient visits in the full-service emergency department. The department is a Level V trauma center and is vital to meeting the needs of a rural area.

Physicians, nurses and other caregivers at St. Elizabeth Hospital are prepared for all emergencies, from the simple to the complex. Physicians in various specialties are also on call to assist when needed to ensure comprehensive, expert medical care close to home for residents of Enumclaw, Black Diamond, Buckley and other communities on the Plateau.
