Highline Medical Center
Mark Benedum has been Chief Executive Officer of Highline Medical Center in Burien since January 2007.
He first joined Highline in 1984 as an associate administrator. In 1989, he assumed the role as the administrator of Highline Specialty Campus and was instrumental in establishing this campus as a specialty behavioral health and rehabilitation services facility within Highline Medical Center.
In 2000, he assumed the position of Chief Operating Officer and was responsible for operations at both the main and specialty campuses.
Prior to joining Highline Medical Center, Mark Benedum served as an administrative resident at Providence Hospital in Everett and later held the position of assistant administrator at Douglas Community Hospital in Roseburg, Oregon
He received his bachelor’s degree from Cornell University and his Master’s degree in health administration from the University of Washington. He is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
